JOHN & MARGARET CARTWRIGHT
John and Margaret set up Windowright Ltd in
after selling the largest sealed unit business in
the county. Deciding they did not want to fully
retire they set up Windowright as a small concern
supplying both the trade and public sectors of the
uPVC industry. John has been in the uPVC industry
for 26 years and Margaret for 23 years. This
experience has enabled them to advise customers in
all areas and pass on their extensive knowledge that
they have acquired over the years.It is normally
John who makes the initial visit when we receive
enquiries from customers. He will liaise and find
out your requirements so that he can produce a no
obligation quotation.Margaret deals mainly with the
financial aspects of the company.
JACKIE THOMPSON
Jackie joined the original family business some
14 years ago. She also deals with customers when
they initially phone making enquiries and often
arranges appointments which are convenient to the
customer. Jackie is always happy to answer any
queries and assist customers in any way that she
can. Jackie and Louise liaise regarding customers
orders and installations and they are both often
able to answer customer queries and keep them
abreast of the production of their order. She plays
a strong role in the sealed unit department,
inputting orders and ensuring that all the glass is
ordered correctly.
LOUISE TURNER
Louise joined the original family business 17
years ago, after leaving school. She trained in all
areas of the business taking a particular interest
in the decorative glass department. Here she learnt
the art of decorative glass and completed many
commissions for both the domestic and commercial
trade. When John & Margaret sold their original
business Louise also joined them and along with
Jackie has helped establish a good customer support
base.Louise primarily deals with customers and is
often the person who follows up customer quotations
when John has made his initial visit. If an order is
placed, Louise will compute the order and liaise
with the client regarding delivery and fitting
dates. She also ensures that all contracts are in
place as is deposit and warranty protection
insurance. Louise will also register the relevant
installations with FENSA.
DAVE BARDEN
Dave has worked in the PVC industry for 7 years and
has worked for John and Margaret for the past 4
years. He has extensive knowledge regarding the
fabrication and installation of uPVC windows, doors
and conservatories. He can offer both advice and
information to customers regarding their
installations and always shows attention to detail
when installing and completing any work.Dave is our
Factory Manager in the Window Department and it is
normally Dave that surveys any windows etc to be
made. Dave then ensures that all fabrication follows
a very high standard and that consistency and
quality are always a top priority. To complete the
job from start to finish it is essentially Dave that
installs most of our domestic contracts.
DAVE NEAVE
Dave has recently joined the company just over a
year ago to assist Dave Barden. He has 12 years
experience within the uPVC industry. Dave has a good
depth of knowledge regarding fabrication and
installation of uPVC windows doors and
conservatories.
DARREN ADCOCK
Has recently joined the company and has been in the
uPVC and sealed unit industry for some 20 years.
Like Dave Barden he can offer advice regarding
installations, materials used and required. Darren
works to high standard and is always happy to assist
in any way that he can. Darren often goes on
installations with Dave and together they make a
competent team.
PATRICK MADDOX
Patrick has worked for John and Margaret for
the past 21 years and is the Manager of the sealed
unit department. Patrick was John’s right hand man
in the previous business and what Patrick doesn’t
know about the glass industry isn’t worth knowing
about! Over the past 21 years Patrick’s knowledge
regarding both commercial and domestic installations
has become extensive and again he can offer advice
and assistance to all our customers and clients.
Patrick ensures that all sealed units are
manufactured to a strict schedule and to quality
mark EN1279. He designs and manufactures all
decorative units whether they are Georgian grill,
diamond or rectangular leaded and bespoke designs.
ADAM KITT
Adam joined the company last year as an
apprentice and is completing an NVQ in Performing
Manufacturing Operations. He mainly assists Patrick
in the sealed unit department. He is learning all
aspects of the company regarding the sealed units
and the window fabrication department and sometimes
goes on site as a fitters mate. Adam is aware of the
high standards we expect and endeavours to give 100%
when completing his work.
DOUG EDWARDS
Doug has worked for John & Margaret for 7 years,
and before this worked for a large window
fabrication company supplying council contracts for
12 years in a managerial position. His main role
within Windowright is to ensure quality. Doug does
the necessary testing and keeps mandatory records to
ensure consistency within all our production. Doug
also liaises with Louise regarding Health and Safety
requirements of the company.
As you have read, many of
us have worked together for some time enabling us to
form a productive team. Our individual roles often
overlap with each other, therefore offering the
advantage that we are all generally aware of
production schedules and what contracts we have and
when they are to be completed. You can be assured of
